Abstract

Snow peas contain many nutritional values that are good for the body. One of the nutritional values abundant in snow peas is protein. This protein contains essential amino acids such as cysteine, methionine, and lysine needed by the body. The snow pea plant is a climbing shrub, with long, small, slender stems, jointed, and having tendrils at the end of its branches. The stem grows climbing with its leaf stalks, so stakes are needed in planting. A stake is a plant support to keep the plant standing upright and receiving sufficient sunlight for its growth. Fertilization in plant cultivation provides balanced nutrients in the growing medium. Inorganic fertilizers function to add nutrients to the soil. NPK fertilizer is a source of nutrients to meet the needs of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in plants. The correct fertilization dosage will determine plant growth to be fertile and productive. However, if the fertilizer dosage is not according to recommendations or fertilization instructions, plant growth will be disrupted, affecting harvest yields. Therefore, research was conducted on the Growth and Yield of Snow Pea (Pisum sativum L) in Response to Staking Models. This study aimed to obtain the best staking model and NPK fertilizer dosage for the growth and yield of snow peas. This study used a Completely Randomized Block Design (CRBD) with 2 factors. Factor 1 is the staking model treatment 1, namely: A0 = Without Stake, A1 = Single Stake, A2 = Triangle Stake, A3 = Fence Model Stake. Factor 2 is the NPK fertilizer dosage treatment 2, namely: N0 = 0 g/polybag, N1 = 15 g/polybag, N2 = 30 g/polybag, N3 = 45 g/polybag. Observation Variables: Plant height, Number of leaves, Weight per fruit, Number of fruits per plant, and Weight of fruits per plant. The data obtained were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at a 5% level. If there were significant differences, it was followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% level. The single stake model provided plant height, number of leaves as many as 25.83 at 14 day, 46.19 at 21 day, and 66.69 at 28 day, and fruit weight per plant as heavy as 9.41 grams. NPK fertilizer at 15 grams per polybag is the optimal dose for pea plant growth. There was an interaction between the staking model and NPK on A2N1 and A1N1.
